RE: its home...

Steering wheel looks a bit fluffy..... Just how far can 1000bhp launch a tennis ball? I'm guessing a little over 16 yards. :)

I guess its safe to say you're more mechanically minded as a result of all this?? Maybe a little :) Of course I never got my head under the bonnet, but I've been through a few of the threads laced with pics on this forum and picked up a few things. Always a bonus to learn new things. Urgh... After ...

Oh yeah and I changed my insurance company from the info on here as well, I went with Adrian Flux in the end and it was cheaper than my unmodded Norwich Union insurance.

I thought I'd give you all a little update. It took the best part of three months, an envelope full of notes and a further £7.5k worth of getting the engine in shape and with mods at MRC. I've been blasting around at 400bhp for a month or so now, I've had the ding on the rear bumper fixed up and the...

RE: Another wheel topic, even with the sticky

All 4 of them were well scuffed, and that was a max quote.. The spare had a massive chunk sticking out of it! I have a big granite curb outside my house (which I don't park next to any more) and I'm on a narrow lane so used to have to get right next to it. Anyway I don't do that any more since I rep...

Another wheel topic, even with the sticky

I've been quoted up to £450 for my totally curbed alloys, so I might as well look at a new set.

Anybody dealt with these ppl?

Hi All, Time for a quick update. Despite CPR Doug declared my poor old 138k engine DOA. It's probably over a month now since Lucas started the search, and the good news is a replacement has come up and a deal has been struck. I drove up to Coventry and back yesterday just to hand a suspicious lookin...

Yes, excellent :) We only get the B5 S4 channel in here though  Yeah I know, I'd have gotten kicked out :P Can anyone tell me what would give me the most gain for my quids? I'll have the turbos done while its apart, and I read somewhere that fitting RS4 turbos gives an instant gain. I guess th...

I've checked out a few B6's over the last 18 days, but so far haven't tried one that's inspired m...

They listed a B5 and a B6 on their website last Thursday, but no pics, so I phoned and ask for a look. I was told they were off for cleaning and would be available in a few days, and as it was the Easter weekend this seemed acceptable. Midday Tuesday (yesterday) the pics went up and I phoned again a...
