Just saw this thread, I owned an RS3 and got rid for a Golf R. I only kept it a year. The engine and the DSG make it a fast point to point car but it does end becoming a bit clinical. My biggest problems with the car were continued brake issues - high pitch squeaks no matter how you drive! Vibration...
