Still around, but downsized to a 3.0 A5, as I'm now doing too many miles to fund the S8's appetite for Arab's delight.scaghead wrote:kev s, are you still about???

Wicked looking, black RS4, with blacked out windows, pased me just before the Newton turn off on the M6 south this afternoon.

Done two trips to Germany this year and you're dead right, with one exception however. I reckon that all German RS's are bought by employees at Ingolstadt. Every other car in the car park was a B7 RS4. Loads of S6's and even 3 S8's. Managed to see 4 R8's driving around, let alone the dozens parked a...

Having owned both, there's no comparison. I really loved my S6- then I drove an RS6! The RS6, apart from the obvious massive hike in performance, rode the bumps better, handled better, stopped quicker, was more comfortable, had far more goodies and turned out to be more reliable. The only fault in t...

I find that the range and fuel gauge are both useless! Generally use the trip computer as a guide, 300 miles on that and I’m overdue a fill up! I always fill my cars to brim and keep fuel/mileage records on a spreadsheet. The average mpg on my RS6 and S8 were all optimistic by an exact 10%. I also ...

In the 80's I drove a 1600 Talbot Sunbeam for a semi-works team and my car was used as a test bed for Mikael Sundstrom's car. One piece of kit tested, was a new exhaust manifold that was six feet in length and this gave 30bhp at the wheels, dyno tested before and after, and this was actually the mea...

Power output is definitely possible. If you read the article it says, "stock RS4 engine with identical internals to the RS4." This doesn't stop them 'blueprinting' the engine. There are no cats and no exhaust boxes, i.e. a 'straight through' system. The manifolds are also custom built and this makes...

BTW- any news from your dealer about the C6 RS yet? I'm going to traipse along to mine sometime this week and take the plunge.
