Having owned an R8 (V8), I am intrigued as to why Audi Press office would give you one for a week to write so little. Moreover, nothing particularly new, or even to compare it to the V8 version - that would have been interesting!

The R8 4.2 V8 also has false tailpipes, they are part of the rear bumper assembly

I am sure it will be fine, my Previous B5 RS4 did 156,000 miles without a blip, and the later one did 88,000

My R8 was £13,000 to upgrade genuine audi, however Audi said they wouldn't warrant them. Crazy or what!!!

Yep - you will see more component wear, it's inevitable, but like all things mechanical, it's how you treat it. If you're an animal, cars last less time. I think the real area of concern might be the gearbox - she's taking a lot of torque, but it does have a torque limiter, so will refuse to change ...

...or maybe some brakes that actually work?

I'm very happy with what Superchips have done, 649bhp, plus a significant increase in torque (can't remember the figure, but it's on thier website) and at a bargain price.
