RE: Tyre pressure monitoring system question

Your car will have tpms. The menu button should work when car is stationary, although i think if a major fault is logged it will not work untill this has been rectified.

Mine was taken from it's first owner when only a few weeks old. Like most cars these days the only way to drive them away will be with the key.

RE: Service interval query

I think it depends on how you use the car. For instance if you make a lot of short journeys it will bring the service indicator down quicker. You can't win because regardless of this it needs a once a year time service.

Could be getting out of my depth here but how would they know a belt at 20k isn't going to last to 40k? what are they checking for ? Might as well just change it at 20k and be super safe.

RE: Re: RE: brake expenses

No warranty cover on these parts. I didn't bother to push it as this conversation was with the service girl, the reason given was corosion. I know there is nothing wrong with these, no cracks, no warping etc.

RE: brake expenses

That would be for front and rears. Just had the same quote at my first service and only 5500 miles. My reply... if you want to fit them under warranty go ahead.

Managed to fix it today. Amazing what you can do yourself (with the help of a talented mate) when faced with a big bill..

RE: Suspension problem update

mine is in just now. Both rear strutts leaking at pipe joint. Car was very bouncy at the rear and felt like the front suspension was going to fall off, noisy when any kind of bad road surface. All due to lack of suspension oil i would think. Did you notice yours leaking fluid Jonathanb ?
