2 x RS2's Borough Market, London - 15 Sept

Nº 1 - RHD Ragussa Green RS2 with Big Reds - N*** OGH

Nº 2 - Was me, if that counts, parked directly behind in my RHD Ragussa Green RS2 with Big Reds.

Re: Bad idling

Is it possible that the inlet camshaft could be 1 teeth wrong? Unlikely at that would put you into limp home mode i.e max 0.5 bar pressure. When my car intermittently and erratically sounded like a V8 it turned out to be a failing POS (Ignition Coil Power Output Stages) which made the car fire on o...

RE: Faulty seat adjustment control

I had a similar problem and found that one of the soldered connections at the back of the switch had broken. It was a while ago and I can't quite remember how I got to the rear of the switch, but I do remember taking the seat out of the car as there was another issue with the seat runners which i fi...

RE: Refurb Brake Calipers or Replace?

I ended up upgrading from little reds to OEM RS2 big reds rather than refurbishing as I wanted better brakes and to stay vaguely OEM. At the time it was the easiest option but now there are a number of people who do fairly straightforward 996 monoblock as well as other big brake upgrades. Corey at w...

I just remembered that quite sometime ago I up loaded the manuals here: http://homepage.mac.com/WebObjects/FileSharing.woa/wa/default?user=angushudson&templatefn=FileSharing8.html&xmlfn=TKDocument.8.xml&sitefn=RootSite.xml&aff=consumer&cty=US&lang=en The zip file worked for me but let me know if the...

I change my original OEM springs at 125k for new OEM springs about 2 years ago, although I can't comment on improvements as I also changed to koni's as well. The big downside for me was that it actually raised the car some 20-25mm and it is only starting to settle now. The old springs must have comp...

how did the Neuspeed RARB work out?

My OEM RARB is looking a little worse the ware, with the coating having nearly all flaked off and the surface of the RARB in a very weathered condition i.e rusty.

My 4 wheel alignment place suggested replacing it. Any comments anyone?

Just so you know, if you get an OEM towbar and connect it into the cars electrics it'll switch the car in to low boost mode.

I agree with clived check for boost leaks first. If you want to go the poor mans VAGCOM route you can pull the blink codes from the ECU with just a 12vLED (from Maplins) and a paper clip. It worked for me and is fairly straightforward and you can check nearly all the ECU sensors for faults. VAGCOM i...

My UK RHD does not have a sun roof, it had to be specially ordered that way. The first owner was tall and wanted the extra headroom.

RE: Aux rad area coolant leak

Faulty filler cap?

In theory the cap should rattle when shaken, which shows the pressure relief valve is working. Maybe the valve is stuck open?

Cheap to replace from Haulfrauds.

I couldn't agree more - it is one of the most cared for and well maintained RS2's I've ever seen.
