RE: Wanted: Audi RS6 Avant - Black or Daytona

Hi, Mine is up for sale for £15995. It's a standard 03 Daytona avant with just less than 72k on the clock. Has black leather and factory tint. It had 2 shocks replaced around 2000 miles ago and has a full service history, next due in 3500 miles. The advert is here: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classi...

RE: Best (or should I say least bad) dealer?

I've used Crawley Audi without any issues (although I have heard a few people on here have had bad experiences with them) and they also have the tool for repressurising the system

I'd say no...new disks and pads are cheaper than a new box ;-)

RS6 Avant

Sadly, I've decided to sell my RS6. Its given me almost 2 years of enjoyment and has never missed a beat (apart from having 2 shocks recently replaced)... Its an 03 Daytona Grey Avant with 70k on the clock. Its overall condition is superb for its age. I'm looking for £17k ono More details can be fou...

If it has a full Audi Main Dealer Service History, you should be able to get this done FOC...give Audi CS a call and hopefully they'll get the changed. I did this with mine just recently

RE: Alternator replacement / servicing in Hampshire area

I spoke to my local dealer about the cam belt as well. He said that its still 40k in Germany, but because of our roads here (and the low speed limits) the engines aren't stressed as much so the interval has been extended...

Dave, its the nearside front :( . I've opened a case with Audi CS and will hopefully hear something positive as its only 1 month older than the 6 years, but who knows...if they won't budge, I may just junk it and go for coilovers and stop using the main stealers for everything

RE: Reasons to buy a 03 RS6?

Yes they have their problems, but what other family car can you get the same smile from the use of the loud pedal? Its practical, good looking (IMO) and easy to drive (in any weather). If you do get it, get the dealer to throw in a full Audi warranty...then you can't go too wrong in the fi...

My DRC has just been diagnosed as faulty and my car is 1 month too old to be covered under this new arrangement :( ...is it worth trying to get some good will out of Audi or just bin the whole system and go for coilovers? any suggestions?
Cheers, Steve

RE: FITTING FRONT BRAKE PADS!!!

I managed to change the pads without removing these bars, I just dropped the caliper off and the and the pads came out with a little persuation. All you need is a 10mm hex bolt. According to Audi, the bolts don't have stretch type threads, but I did change them just to make sure.

You're looking for the Black Optics pack...but I don't think this is available new from Audi anymore. You would need to get it sprayed (or do it yourself). I believe a couple of members have gone this way using plasticoat...

RE: Bag of spanners

Its not just a tappety sound, it sounds more terminal...but does stop after a couple of minutes or so....and its not just in the cold weather, the evenings have been quite balmy (for march in the UK) Dave, apart from the issue now, she's behaved herself impeccably, never missed a beat. I notice you ...

Bag of spanners

Hi all, I've started my car the past 2 mornings and it sounds like a bag of spanners being shaken...after about a minute it's back to normal again. It doesn't sound like the typical tappety noise on start up, but something a lot more serious. There are no lights on the dash, oil level looks OK and t...
