The M3 has too many electric toys that are optional (trick suspension, different steering maps) and comes essentially naked of all options. It is also too boring at sensible speeds to be any fun, . I can understand both sides of the argument. Big TD's are very good, and can be very very rapid. However, for me, one of the joys of coming back to Petrol was the engine noise when pushed. Yes the diesel might be more economical, feel faster, even be faster, but without the aural delight of the pet...
