Just to report back.

My car is back on just Optimax and there's no hesitation now, after running through a full tank.

Cheers

Dunc, Interesting topic this. Just the other day (Monday), I decided to put some Millers in with the Optimax. I have a full box of it in the garage which I bought of DavidT ages ago, so I thought, I may as well use it. Since putting the stuff in, the car has hesitated during accelaration a number of...

Dunc, See how it goes, that may well fix the problem. I know with mine, they tried a couple of things first. Like adjusting the clutch, and making sure its mechanism was working correctly. They then dropped the gear box oil a couple of times to check for swarf. My dealer said, they had to rule thing...

Dunc, I had the same problem quite some time ago. May have posted about it on here, if not, certainly on AS.net. To cut a long story short, it is a common problem on S3's and TT's, and the solution is either a gearbox rebuild or completely new gearbox. My dealer got the gearbox rebuilt under warrant...

Re: Farewell Audi S3

Sorry to hear its gone Simon. I remember you getting yours a couple of weeks before mine. And you were very helpful with advice about the import process etc.

Take care. PM me with what you've moved up to.
