I don't like driving with the oil cold either. I hold the car at 7k rpm for 5 minutes before I set off each day, and bury the throttle at every opportunity. This way the oil is nice and warm for the journey ahead.

Finger rings, large ones can cause damage to door handles. My bad, the colour is 'Aquarius Green' I was getting it mixed up with Kingfisher.

Is this an Aquarius blue car per chance?

Noithing unusual about that, big rings cause that sort of damage.

No idea mate, it could be a number of things. A vacuum leak for instance. If you are new to all things Audi you should get yourself a VAG-COM diagnostic setup, even if you are not into tearing your motor apart it's always useful and interesting to know what's going on with the cars electronic system...

Hi Olly, 1500 is way too high. Mine sits at 800-900. As for the brake pad indicator, are you definate it was for the pads? I would be inclined to think it's a case of the brake fluid sloshing around giving a low level warning as you went over the bump (may be ever so slightly low) If it was the pad ...
