Scott i rang vag parts about 6 weeks ago and asked the same question they told me it would not fit mate.

I am going to fit a FMIC on my S3 in the next few weeks i have done some research into it, but would also like some feedback from people that already have them fitted. Forge seem to be the way to go but a bit costly, found one made by Godspeed that look ok anybody using??

Horsepower isn't the important factor - it's torque. High torque will kill your clutch - anything over 310lb/ft and you are going to be pushing a standard clutch.
