Headlamp Self Levelling Issue
One of my headlights was low, so I visited the local charlatans. They were more than happy to help (of course...). The bill - £587 + VAT for parts plus two hours labour (£240 +VAT) - oh and a three week lead time. So what were they fixing? Well, the leveling mechanism is managed by two white...

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: RNS-D to RNS-E tips and information.
Hi JD, Firstly a caveat - my knowledge isn't huge, but happy to give my perspective - please just don't take it as the law...... I don't think any RNS-D has TMC. I've recently upgraded from D to E (as you'll see from the conversation above). Previously I had a 2008 Blaupunkt disc in my D, which work...

OK - good.....or not. Thanks guys - told you it was a really stupid question.
Nav works fine, but no sound. Can't see CD changer or the OEM BT kit ....
Clearly I've totally stuffed this install.......perhaps time to start again....or hand over to a pro.....
DOH!!

RE: Re: RE: RNS-D to RNS-E tips and information.
Please can someone give the answer to what is such an obvious question that no-one has written about it..... What I will call the diagnostic pin set on the back of an RNS-D is smaller than the one on the RNS-E - so how do you connect it up to do the coding etc.....? Bought all the other bits as disc...

At the risk of upsetting many people on this forum who have fought long and hard to get rectification work carried out on their (and others) cars, I have today received confirmation from Audi UK that ''..... in light of this new information I will be honouring the goodwill of 100% labour boosting ou...

RE: Re: DRC action?
Oh boy, this is going to get to be fun..... Just thought I'd let you all know that Audi Customer Service are adamant (and I don't mean the 80's pop star) that no press release exists in relation to DRC issues. The 'gentleman' concerned has apparently hunted high and low and no such document exists. ...

Just to add to the melee.... Just got my estimate from Chelmsford Audi for ''the noise at the back'' (they're so technical there....!)..... £3,096 + VAT.... All four shocks and a complete DRC system (not that they have the tools to actually fix it). Hmmmm ........ vs. Bilstein PSS9's at £1,800..... ...

RE: Bluetooth Phone Kit in an RS6 (ABS compatility issue??)
Hi Joules,
I have an RS6 Avant, with a Nokia CK-7W Bluetooth kit in that was professionally installed by Cellcom, a Nokia accredited installer when I bought it in September 07. Nothing was mentioned by them and no problems (to my knowledge!!) on this.
