RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Carrera 2S or RS4?

Having owned both, I would opt for the Porsche providing you don't need the space/4 doors of the RS4. They are both easy to drive and live with on a day to day basis however, the Porsche is lighter and IMHO, a better drivers car. When it comes to warranty/maintenance, there are many many more Porsch...

Lat August, I was offered between 35K and 39k for an 07/57 Avant with 5000 miles and all the toys from both Audi and Specialist dealers. I ended up selling privately for 41K. They were depreciating at 1,500 - 2,000 per month and therefore, the same car is worth approx 30 - 32k (trade) at the moment ...

Re: Crazy Trade in Prices

Just looked into trading in my 2 yr old RS4 cabriolet with 10k miles ( full spec £62 k new ) against a new Aston Martin V8 and was only offered £32k ?!!!! It books at £40k with 20k miles in clean condition so I was hoping for more than that plus an over allowance. Strikes me dealers are scared to t...

Re: Suspension Plus

Hi, my car has the sport suspension plus package which makes the driving of the car very hard, almost same as my GT3. Given that I drive the car mainly with my wife and child I am looking to change back to the standard suspension. Either I just change the dampers or also get different springs. Any ...

Re: RE: Re: RS4 Avant - Guess What I was Bid ?

What you reckon these will be worth in another year? Very hard to say. I reckoned my car would depreciate by another 7k between August and the end of this year if the current climate continues. Therefore, a well spec'd 2007/57 Avant with 7-8k miles would be worth approx 30 - 31k trade, 33 - 34k pri...

Re: RS4 Avant - Guess What I was Bid ?

Best trade price @ £37,500 [/quote]

Thats a very fair bid. The best I got on my very well spec 'd 07/57 Avant with 5000 miles was 39k in August. RS4's are depreciating by 1,400 quid per month at the moment and most stealers cheque books are closed.

Re: RE: Sad Day

Wow, a 15k loss in 5000 miles. I would hate to add up cost per mile with petrol etc. For that sort of money i will be keeping hold of mine for the full 3 years planned. Taking into consideration the 10% discount I negotiated off the new price, the depreciation was 9k. Although this is a lot of mone...

It looks like the C63 will go the same way as the M3. There are plenty of un-registered cars in the dealer network.

Alternatively, carry out the exhause valve mod and then turn off Sport mode when driving round town.

RE: Sad Day

My car was an 07/57 Avant with 5000 miles from new. See here http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/651407.htm Point being, providing you are realistic, RS 4 prices appear to be holding better then the new M3, There are private punters out there who are willing to handover 41K for the right car. Therefo...

Sad Day

After an agonising 'should I sell it or should I keep it' decision, I have reeluctantly sold my RS. The decision to sell was down to lack of use, coupled with the 1,400 quid a month depreciation hit. If I had the opportunity to use the car more often, I would have kept it but most of my business now...
