Yeah, they all do that, a mate says it's a safety measure to protect the rack from over pressure, however mine got loader and loader and then I started losing fluid. Upon inspection the tack was leaking at both ends. New (reconditioned) rack from europarts £261 although I get £96 back when I return ...

RE: B5 RS4 Brakes on S4
Wierd things is the guy I bought my car off had 18x8's from AMD in Bicester that cleared the porsche brakes, unfortunately he had an accident (becuase AMD screwed the brake install up) and the wheels they sent down to replace his knackered ones were 18x8.5 et35 which needed a 5mm spacer to clear the...

RE: B5 RS4 Brakes on S4
Savage, I too am trying to find out exactly what 18"x8" wheel offset will clear my front porsche big break kit, I am pretty sure the wheels on my car previously were et45 18x8 RS4 replicas, currently I have 18x8.5's et35 with 5mm spacers on the front to clear my calipers, but the tyres rub on the wh...

RE: Re: RE: power steering fluid
Savage, book says 10.8 hours for replacement, engine out 12 hours, so not engine out it seems, also seen some guides, it looks a pain in the arse job to do, nut looks like it comes out of the passenger side wheelarch, without removing anything..... so we will see when the rack arrives and we get the...

b5 s4 wheels over porsche big brake kit help
Just wondering if anyone can help me, as I am needing new wheels, but cannot figure out what to order, and I don't want them to arrive and not fit correctly,. I have a 1999 Audi S4 2.7t with porsche big brake kit, currently the car has 18x8.5 et35 on, but these rub slightly on the front wheel arches...

RE: Wheels
interested to know what you ended up doing ? I have an AMD bicester fitted big brake kit (porsche calipers) and the previous owner changed the original RS4 reps 18x8.0 (which didn't require spacers) for some wider 18x8.5 et35 wheels and used universal spacers, as they caught on the calipers and now ...

Re: RE: power steering fluid

I am going to see how it goes after topping up but I assuming the worst and that ...

Cheers for replying Dazzer, took the flat off today and replaced the tyre (as it was shredded) temporarily with a part worn type from a local fitter whilst I assess what to do with regards to new alloys and tyres. The wheels I have on right now are ET35 18"x8.5 with 235/40/18 tyres on, when we fitte...

Wheel offset help please
Hi guys, finally need to replace my rims they are 18x8.5 with 225/40/18 tyres, we had to put a spacer in when we fitted them as they were going to catch on the calipers, which are the AMD porsche upgrades they were doing a few years back when I first bought the car. This was not ideal as my slightly...
