does anyone know whether it is possible to use a "dummy" thermostat" and what the negative implications are? mine has just gone and i have been told this is an option. living in dubai, it might not be a bad thing. i am sure you are aware that it gets quite warm here from time to time.

as strange as this sounds, you will only get the beep everytime as long as you shift out of park immediately after the car starts (within a second or two) if you wait just a few seconds before shifting, you will not get the beep to warn you that it is off
