RE: Re: RE: Poor running when hot RS4 (B7)
I don't know much about ECUs and remapping but I have driven sports cars for 35 years and I know when an engine is running ok and mine isn't. Any help or pointing in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. I know quiet a lot of ECU's and remapping, daily job  That's why i asked abou...

RE: Poor running when hot RS4 (B7)
When you or somebody you knows have VAG-Com, you can make some logs in 3rd and 4th gear. At the speed and revs you have problems and also full throttle through the rev range. Logs from block 1,31,3 and 1,103,106. Put them here or by PM, than we can explain something.

Re: RE: good deal
Those are huge figures dude.. 20kw @ wheels !!! so am i right in saying pre looks like 207 kw@wheels and after looks like 227 is@wheels in pic 1 They are flywheel figures. 370 Bhp before the remap in non sport mode and 425 Bhp in sport mode after the remap. A gain of 55 Bhp, on 95 Ron. Just think o...

@ audijohn, no that won't give any problems. Because it's a fully closedloop widebandlambda controlled system. Only when you remove the cats you can have problems (without a good remap for it). @ GrahamS4, I don't know. Make a log with Vag-Com from channel 003 and 061 in 3rd gear and you can see. An...

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Lambda sensor
Sorry for the delayed reply... The lambda is good, because the lambda read follows nice the requested lambda, and with a very acceptable correction (099) less 5%. But your boost is much lower than the requested boost. The N75 is (for some reason??) limited on 84,3%, to get the target/requested boost...

RE: Re: ECU current or last version?
I did not say, it can only have older SW. I only mean to say that I haven't seen newer SW with this ECU with D suffix right now. But that's mostly a little time before it gives another update.. So far I know Audi started the RS4 V8 with 8E1910560 0010. After some time they updated it to 8E1910560 00...

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Lambda sensor
No it's not in limp mode, it looks like a leak. But make another log from 118.
And to look for lambda, make a log from 099 and 31.

Jeroen

Re: ECU current or last version?
Hi, I had some issues by starting the engine when my car is sleeping outside. No problems when in the garage. So I went to an Audi dealer....and asking for a ecu update.....he said that I have got the last version....as far as I can see (not sure), below is version 0030 right? wrong? Sorry about th...

Hi Jeroen, Thanks for the graphs, very impressive. What I conclude from what has been posted is: Non Sport mode: exhaust flaps stay shut until 4,500k rpm in 1st, 2nd, 3rd and then open throttle stays 50-60% open till 5,500 rpm or so in ALL gears Sport mode: exhaust flaps open ALL the time from 0-82...

Jeroen, sorry as this is probably me being thick but can you clarify this one point?? I'm not getting the throttle vs exhaust flap scenario?? In sport mode the exhaust flaps are open from 0RPM, however in non sport mode the flaps open at 5500RPM?? This being the case, why do i feel the 5500RPM surg...

Thanks Jeroen, So do you think the mapping guys over here could map the car in the same manner, with 100% throttle opening at any given rev range?.I suppose its the same idea as the M5, where p400 does not open all the individual throttle butterflys fully, where p500 completely opens them.Nice car ...

@ Paul, The only difference in Sport-mode is exactly what you said, nothing more ! The only performance win is very small, thanks to the exhaustvalves, 10Nm more @ 4500rpm, as you can see the difference in thirst dynoplot the upper blue and red torque lines. So there is no max. throttle angle differ...
