Re: Brake squeal explained by Porsche
The message of this video is “stop whinging, you morons”. And I think it’s fair enough.

Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
HI there i saw that a few here have been running MPS4S for a while. How's the noise level? Do you have tyres with Michelin's noise-reduction foam (called Acoustic)? I'm asking because I bought a set of Michelin Super Sports a year ago in 21' and they were so loud I ended up reselling them. The so-ca...

Re: Harsh front shocks, road noise
Thanks for this. I've had the car checked by the main dealer who couldn't find an issue with it.
From a browse around here, this isn't a known issue. Will chase it down for another couple of weeks - appreciate any additional idea.

Harsh front shocks, road noise
Need some advice. Front air shocks feel harsher, thump hard on mid-sized bumps and pot holes. Road noise also distinctly louder on coarse chip roads, coming from the front. Tried cycling through raised/normal, comfort/dynamic suspension - no joy. 2014 model on factory 20s, 20,000 miles. Is this as s...

Re: COD, Does yours spoil along drive????
It absolutely does my head in. Feckin annoying. Like tonight, driving home through empty city roads between 50 and 70km/h, the bloody COD feels like the engine is constantly misfiring or chasing gears. And it stuffs up throttle response, too. Seriously Audi, why mess about with fundamental drivetrai...

Re: RS6 Tyres
Found a set of Michelin PSS in 295/30ZR21, ie slightly wider than OEM. Would these fit within tolerance?

Rough gearbox, drive train slack
Gidday 2014 car with 15,000 miles. Gear changes have become gradually less smooth, some specific changes are fine but others are not eg 4th to 3rd feels abrupt with no throttle blip, 3rd to 2nd is smooth. Driving off on light throttle is a bit jerky in comfort mode, as the 'box goes up the gears. An...

Had the same issue for months. See this thread . Seems to be a rare issue. Frustrating because it happens so randomly. A year on Audi cannot explain what's going on. They believe it has to do with throttle electronics. They've tried multiple software upgrades, new plugs, etc. I even left the car wit...

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: Carrera 2S or RS4?
I'm looking to swap my RS for a 996 Turbo atm, hopefully I won't regret it. I don't think you will. I own both, and am selling the RS now. Main reasons: - Torque. Head-splitting grin every time - The feeling of driving a true sports cars (no offence meant) - Addictive handling. A bit like Uma Thurm...

Go for the Porsche. I own a B7 RS4 and a 2004 996 Turbo. Both cars are parked side-by-side at the office. I find myself driving away in the Porsche 8 out of 10 times. To the point that I will be selling the Audi, it's just not getting enough sunlight. An RS never feels dull. But the 911 feels specia...

RS5 rant
I have had money down on an RS5 for 3 years. But the car hasn't brought a lot of change, nor pushed any of my hot buttons. Take the highlights from the press release: 450hp and 430Nm is hardly something to get excited for these days. RS4 unveiled five years ago had 420hp and (roll of drums...) 430Nm...

MTM does it
