RE: tuning and resale on S4 Cab
its a very nice looking car, with a well appointed interior and the plastic is not too hideous. It is not as rigid a car as the saloon or estate, so not a fantastic choice for the performance nuts. Chipping a normally aspirated car does not yield the benefits that it can on a turbo engined car and t...

RE: tuning and resale on S4 Cab
Is it a proper dealer? Its not turbo so the remap is fairly benign compared to turbos, exhaust is strictly limited in its effects. Major price determinant on hairdresser cars is can they afford it. Its not a serious driver's car, its a car to give to your bird. Unless she is exceptional, why tune it...

MAKING COFFEE: Making a cup of coffee is like making love to a beautiful woman. It's got to be hot. You've got to take your time. You've got to stir... gently and firmly. You've got to grind your beans until they squeak. And then you put in the milk.

I wonder if we could set up SwissT motors?
We'd get lots of beautiful women customers.

RE: RS6 tuning companies
its always a good idea to look around the site before asking such general questions. After some background reading you will be able to ask more specific questions which may produce useful answers. If I read you correctly - you are looking for a stealth software upgrade that the dealer can't detect a...

Audi (AG actually, not GmbH) know they have wiring loom problems, as does the loom supplier who warned them of the problem years ago. Winterkorn probably spends more time chivvie-ing the electrical/electronics people than any others.

Nordy, All you can do is attack whomever doesn't buy or praise MOV'IT brakes. Ryan clearly isn't an aerodynamic engineer, has'nt got a desire to discuss a topic he doesn't know about so clearly says leave it to the brake companies who all seem to concentrating on producing curved vane rotors, so I ...

Ryan is an S4 racer. ........... Concluding forged is best, billet next and cast. Autobahn driving is harder on brakes than circuit racing, disagree. Ryan may be a racer but it doesn't allow him to pull unsubstantiated facts out of the air and publish opinion as fact. A few facts to support his pre...

KayGee That Audiworld post is better than most of them over there. It entirely misses several important points, or misunderstands. As the information appears to be largely sourced from Stoptech, its a bit light on things that Stoptech don't do, understandably. Monobloc callipers are machined from so...

be very careful of the stock RS4/RS6 rotor. it is extremely heavy. The basic design is flawed, in use it is virtually impossible for air to enter into the veins at the centre of the disk and be spun out. It overheats and gets too hot, look at all the photographs of rotors glowing red under use. Get ...
