RE: Golf GTI 8v - Black 3 door - £200
Might be worth posting on www.golfgtiforum.co.uk they have a classifieds section on there somewhere.

Out of interest wombar, where are you thinking of emmigrating to ? My call is for N.Z, if i get much more fed up with this country! Yup, it's either going to be NZ or Canada. I appear to have enough points to get into both so it's really down to a choice of which I like most. My brother is going to...

Wombar, you're still around!....any joy on the car front or still waiting for the nogaro/black recaro leather, 10k mile car for £5k that the order of Nuns have tired of :) Haha, yep I'm still on the lookout. Not looking as hard though to be honest because I've got a few things going on in my life w...

Re: RE: Sell S4 and get RS4 or mod it to hell??
Yes, they do look good. However, you get absolutely none of that money back . It depends if you can stand that or not. That is something you REALLY need to think about, you can spend the money but I doubt you'll ever come close to getting it back. You can stick all kinds of goodies onto an S4, but ...

RE: Po*y money grabbing insurance companies!!
Yup, I had the same issue last year as well. I'd been with Elephant for about 4 years and they always agreed to match prices from their website which was cheaper than their renewal premium (can't blame them for trying) but wouldn't budge this year for some bizarre reason. I told them that I'd just b...

Sorry to hear about this Bull5eye but it's just about the absolute worst time to be getting rid of one of these cars. Just hang in there though, people are still recovering from Xmas and once February kicks in, people will be looking to spend some money again. With all the doom and gloom in the pres...

Personally, I'd say drop your price to just under £7k on Auto Trader and PH if you really need to get rid of it quickly because the extra £100 on the price is a physchological barrier and not worth that much to you in the long run. What looks better £7095 or £6995? Plus you're filtering yourself out...

RE: Re: RE: Wanting an s4..... advice please...
Yep, the facelift S4's have a few modifications of note. They don't have the exhaust manifold problem that the prefacelifts had. Basically, the inner lining would slowly come away (which is why rattling when blipping the throttle is a good indication) and could be sucked through your turbos which is...

RE: Re: RE: Wanting an s4..... advice please...
I don't have an obsession with Facelift cars, that's simply what I prefer and there are a few things (like exhaust manifold problems) that I don't want to deal with on a pre facelifts. Each to their own, if someone asked me which version to buy, I'd say facelift but wouldn't really be bothered if th...

RE: Wanting an s4..... advice please...
If you've sold your S3 to pay off some debts, doesn't seem like an S4 is going to be a good way to stay debt free ;) Seriously though, you really do get what you pay for, and buying a cheap S4 is basically asking for trouble. There's plenty to go wrong on these cars and I'd always say spend as much ...

The thing with these cars is that it can take a while to shift them, I've seen certain cars for sale for over 3 months at a time while I was looking. This is also just about the worst time to be selling something like an S4 with people tightening their belts because of rising petrol prices, Xmas on ...

13 :D Hi All, First off, yes Carpy it's the one with the rear spoiler. I've just spoken to the guy and it's a PX that he took for some guy who bought a Merc of some description and is apparently quite tidy inside and out apart from someone has keyed the bonnet, which is about 6 inches long. He's sai...

12 ;) Cheers jb7_uk, I've got my fingers crossed as well :) What sort of money are we looking at to put a black interior in (preferably the S4 recaros but not fussed) in the future? I'm guessing around £1k and then I can sell on the interior which comes out and make a little money back. I'm going to...
