RE: where do i stand?

Simon, This being the first time you have mentioned any issue. We have tried to call your mobile number (left a message) as soon as I saw this thread, sent you a PM and emailed. So hopefully one method of contact will get through. Obviously if there is an issue then we will rectify the problem. Cont...

Driveshafts are unique to the RS6 but the outer joint is the same as most of the others except the really small engined A6's. Part number is 4D0 498 099 which is the same across the board. Outright purchase they are £211.18+VAT, exchange (put an "x" on the end of the part number) they are £95.37+VAT...

RE: Re: RE: RS6 Plus

Cognac leather is much more appealing when seen in real life. My '6 has it and wouldn't want another colour, although the aluminium trim needs to go IMO.

Black optic grill is only £88.02+VAT for a genuine one, becareful if buying one though as when I bought mine I had about 5 delivered before I found a perfect one, how they are packed from the factory is not good and when they stack them up it leaves a small nick on one of the corners.

We only use Genuine gearbox oil..... You modify the suspension to improve it You modify the arb's to improve it You modify the ecu to improve it Yet you retain a poor mineral based fluid which breaks down very quickly in operation and ignore a vastly superior fluid (no I am not on the payroll) and ...

One other point to note, whilst the fluid is out of the 'box, have a good check on the rear output seal, have seen quite a few that have been leaking and needing the seal replacing, worth doing whilst in the area.

Would use nothing other than Redline oil, smoother gear changes and a far better oil blend than anything from Audi, same story for the rear diff. The fluid I use provides higher torque converter efficiency at higher temperatures (which is needed for remapped RS6's) and provides better film strength ...

RE: Central locking DTC

Micro switch within the locking mechanism has failed and is not communicating with the ecu (there are 3 or 4 within each mechanism). If you are able to strip it and identify the micro switch they are available from Maplins, either that or around £100 from your parts department and an hours labour to...
