Re: Newbie
Hi Nico,
Congrats on the new car. Do you have access to VCDS? Where are you based? I have VCDS and could possibly meet up. I am in Comber.
I sold my RS4 8 months ago. Currently in a B8 S4. I so miss that V8 roar.
I never did manage to find a good indy to look after the RS.

Re: dealer de-carbon description
I never saw the invoice when I had mine cleaned under warranty. My EPC light came on, although car was running fine and left it into the dealer. About 5 weeks later I got it back and Audi UK and Audi warranty shared the £10K odd bill. Outside of the carbon clean they also replaced various engine par...

Re: Greeting from Northern Ireland
Welcome Ronan, you have the best colour too. I sold mine 6 weeks ago, after 3 years of ownership. It was a fantastic car. Still haven't decided what to replace it with.

Re: Headlight removal/Parking sensor fix
I had to replace a bulb in my headlight recently. I managed to get the headlight out without completely removing the bumper. I removed the bumper screws/bolts on the same side of the car and pulled the bumper back enough to get the headlight out.

Seriously I never once got near 300 to the tank! I think 250 was the max I got.

Congrats on the new car!
And FON
300 miles to a tank. You are not driving it correctly. When driven correctly, you should be getting 200 miles or less to the tank!!

Re: Cold hesitancy
Mine had the cold start hesitancy. Stupidly I cleared the fault code log in the car with my VCDS cable, although I kept the log file on my laptop. Even though they tested it and found the problem (only on one occasion), they needed a fault code in order to get the 090 update from Audi They installed...

Re: Newbie seeks advice re a couple of RS4's.
The Audi dealer one has no Sat Nav (or tech pack). This would affect the resale value.
Personally, I would not buy one with an Audi Warranty.
Good luck with the search.

Re: TPMS Brain Pick
Sorry, I can't remember what was displayed on the DIS. But I used VCDS to read the fault code. Do you have VCDS?
The antenna had corrosion inside, so no wonder it was knackered.

Suspension Issues
Was speaking to a dealer recently and he said that there have been problems the suspension on early build cars. He mentioned that the suspension is being replaced on these cars, which included their demo. I didn't ask which part of the suspension is at fault. He said that Audi were under pressure to...

Re: TPMS Brain Pick
I had a TPMS error on mine last year. It turned out to be the antenna, which is located behind the valence in the back bumper. Was only £50 for a new antenna and 10 minutes to fit.

Re: B7 RS4 Saloon '06' reg
Most of the ones for sale on Autotrader are dealers/traders. So you expect to pay £1/£1.5K more the "supposed" privilege. I personally think that some of the prices being advertised are way too high. Obviously. the buyer doesn't normally pay the advertised price, they get some sort of discount. The ...

Re: B7 RS4 Saloon '06' reg
Hi Martin, £22K feels overpriced to me. I would say more like £18/19K. I know it is having a new engine fitted, but that could actually put a lot of potential buyers off. On the other hand, some buyers might see it as a bonus. I am just about to put up my 43K miles Sprint Blue Avant, Nov 06 for £19,...
