Calling any old skool out there...

I have not been on here in a long time, just wondered if any old friends are still around, I'm looking for a little bit of help/advice on a new Audi I have. (it's not an RS4, lol)

What a nightmare!

I now that your ragging at the moment (understandbly) but just make sure first before you start on the neighbours! you dont want them falling out with you.

I just remember something similar happening and I was so angry that I was just about blaming everyone in the street!

Hi Dave, glad you got it sorted! dont know position of the MAF, but on the Porker it's a big problem if you use Filters that need oiled, The MAF sensor picks up a greasy film which in turn gives false readings! Anyway, I still have my problem with lack of boost, it's in the Porsche garage at the mom...

Hi Dave I know where you are coming from regarding rippin your hair out! It ain't funny and very frustrating, but you will get it fixed in the end, i'm sure! Are ECU's interchangable for testing only? One thing for sure it ain't a boost problem causing a boost fault, I would say it's definate electr...

VST wrote:check your boost levels with a seperate analogue boost gauge, not the factory digital readout. On some of the earlier turbos I had cars running 1.0 bar while the readout in the car only read to 0.6 or 0.7( cant remember exactly).
Excellent! Thanks, will do!

Re: RE: BOOST PRESSURE LEAK!!!

Umm....this really shouldn't be here...why not try the Porsche Forums ? - having said that, surely PSI (whoever they are) are responsible for ensuring your car is ready/healthy before they re-flash it and potentially make things worse. Hi Dave Yip! I know i'm pushin my luck a little with this one, ...

BOOST PRESSURE LEAK!!!

Hi Guys Hopefully you could leave this up just for the day as this could also be helpful to RS4 Turbo's with similar problems. I have a 996TT Tip, my boost reading has always been 0.5 and never above, I never thought anything about it as I have never had the ECU flashed and most Turbo's read between...

Simps! That CSL is pretty quick round the tracks! look at our 996TT, not far off the pace too! Could be well ahead with suspension mods! but I definately aint doin that to my car, just stick with plenty power!!!

OK, here it goes again, the most complete and up-to-date list of the lap times ever achieved by race, tuned and production cars at the famous Nurburgring Nordschleife: 6:59 --- Ferrari 312T, Niki Lauda, German GP, training (1975) 7:06 --- Ferrari 312T, Clay Regazzoni, German GP, race (1975) *1.2m lo...

Hi chaps, someone call? :) The depreciation is a bitch aint it? Did help me to get 8 grand knocked off the price of a brand new one though. Glad I was never on a waiting list for this. There were a good few cancelled orders at the time, and BMW made the cardinal error of flooding the market with al...
