Aren't the winter tyre sizes in the owners handbook? if not in yours then I can check my German version. Or I can check my winter tyres in the garage and see what size they are :-)

RE: Audi Dealer refunds me for over charging on Oil

had the belt ripoff from a bmw dealer in London and when I showed them that it had just been replaced they agreed to 'change' it under warranty.... criminals.

If you use the cruise control and sometimes manually upshift then the Rs6 is really economical - I think it is a very efficient engine. Of course in Sport mode then you can soon drink some fuel but in steady state cruising it is great. For 450 hp and 4wd it is really very good

RE: RS6 in winter / rough weather

If you have the correct winter tyres then it will be no problem. I would not want to go downhill in the snow / ice with mine on summer tyres and 19" low profile tyres. :-)

RE: Rear blinds

I have dark windows AND the blinds. Overkill in my opinion. Would prefer just the blinds and in winter more light in the car for passengers. Sorry don't know if the blinds are retro-fittable.

I would go for 18s black - I don't like big wheels. If someone wants to swap for my 19s then let me know :-)

RE: Re: RE: Re: afew challemges for my dealer

re the power steering, you should probably avoid using full lock... I think these power steering systems are not very clever and if you leave it on full lock then the pump gets a bit strained... I always try to stop a bit short fo full lock for that reason. Anyone with greater knowledge please corre...

RE: Re: RE: Viewing RS6 Avant tonight

I paid 20k in Switzerland for my Avant from an Audi dealer with 1 year warranty, new front discs etc. 60k miles. Of course that is with a very weak Swiss Franc, lhd etc. and there are many RS6 here of course. It's not as rare as in the UK. Maybe not much help - lol

RE: Cold Weather / Winter tyres

I can believe it. They will probably melt at 110 mph :-) really just for lower speed work when it's very cold - then they are a lifesaver. I went straight off the road with normal tyres in my first winter in Switzerland - Lancia Integrale 4X4. The farmer turned up in his tractor with chains, brushed...

I don't fully understand. Surely the rolling road measures power at the wheels and 450hp is at the crank...if they underestimate the drag of the quattro system then you might easily have 450hp+ at the crank. Am I misunderatanding? also from what I know it's very difficult to keep turbo cars cool eno...

RE: Re: RE: Re: Audi Customer Srvice RS6 Cambelt Change Reco

I bought my RS6 with 105k km in Switzerland. The Audi dealer told me that the cambelt is due every 90k km. I saw in the handbook that it says every 60k km. I asked him for confirmation and I have an official confirmation that it is every 90k km now. The car is under guarantee so if something goes wr...

RE: Re: RE: Seat discomfort

I've had mine for about 1 month. First of all I found it uncomfortable and also my partner. Now after some adjustment it is fine so do persevere. As others have said the trick is to get the seat base at the right angle, the lumbar support adjusted, and also the leg support (pulled out at the front) ...
