RE: Deposit placed on my RS4...... now I have to wait

I agree with pippyrips about the wheel re-furbs, had a wheel sorted as part of purchase from a dealer, repair disappeared in a car wash. If wheels are damaged push for new replacements as these are powder coated and baked not sprayed with a rattle can.

Very interesting post. When you have done the 1500 miles or so are you going to put it back on the rollers? When I used to mess around with mini's, the engine builder I used told me that the engine only starts producing real power when everything has sooted up a bit as this aids heat transfer in the...

As for frequency, I suspect this is probably 433MHz, same as your car remote key fob and is a general band, used to be 418MHz in the UK but was harmonised because imported European car remotes operated on 433MHz.

I suspect that the DRC problems are not costing Audi that much because they are probably passing the costs back to KYB who make the system in the first place i.e. it's not hurting Audi enough to do anything about it. They can take an awful lot of pain if you remember the soft wheel debackle with the...

According to the web, B10 means..

B10 Life is the time by which 10% of the product population will get failed i.e. lies, damn lies and statistics.

As for a DRC equipped B9 RS4, no thanks. Wonder how many C6 RS6's (with DRC) have been sold?

Audi dealers have a warranty guy on site to deal with these kind of issues, they liaise directly with Mondial who provide the warranty, not sure why you are getting messed around but sadly not surprised anymore. I wouldn't expect much from Audi UK apart from soothing words and no action, would waste...

S4 Tyre Wear

Hi, Can anyone let me know the expected life of tyres on the S4, I put new tyres (Michelin Pilot Sports) on in May last year and the lowest part of the tyre is probably a mm or 2 above the wear indicator after 9 months. The inner part of the tyre is worn more than the outer, probably due to the nega...

If it hasn't lost a lot, then you could top up with water until you can get to a stealer. There's not much of a choice at Halfrauds if you want to buy some antifreeze.

RE: Re: RE: Re: Prices holding up....

I suspect 2nd hand prices are stabilising because no-one is buying new cars and instead searching for 2nd hand value, this combined with cheaper fuel prices is driving demand. Wouldn't want to predict what might happen tomorrow though.. As for trade-in values, the dealers have always screwed the cus...

RE: RS4 Engine...?

I think the effort of putting an RS4 engine into an S4 with tiptronic transmission is really not worth the extra 70HP IMHO, suspect the result would only be as quick as a manual S4. If the transmission is the over-riding priority then go for the S4 with mods described above, the S4 handling is not a...
