So, if you have an early RS6 (the ones they say have most of the problems) then you need this replacement package but your car is too old to get it? I suppose its this kind of stuff the pilgrims got fed up with when they came across the pond.. However, if you have had one DRC replacement by Audi and...

Hi all.. In trying to figure out how best to get Audi's attention on this matter, we focused on the belief that Audi dosent want to re-live the 'unintended acceleration' experience they had in the 80's, so when we posted threads about contacting all car mags and newspapers with this problem, this al...

HyOctane thanks for that info, good news for You so long as the new parts will fix it. I think the problem always was poor seals on the pistons. Our source in Germany states that Audi have known for a good while about this DRC problem but the delay in offering a fix was due to the fact that Kayuba,...

I have had 28 shocks and 16 valves replaced in 54,000 miles. All under warranty. It must be a crime to continue to charge a fortune for something new that they know will fail again because it is faulty, yes? Now that is seriously insane!!! Don't you get fed up with going back all the time? What's s...

RE: Another DRC failure

Rich. Your service manager dosent know the product. The central valves dont become faulty. They are cannisters that are pressurized from the factory at 16bar. Once the shocks and lines have been evacuated under negative vacuum and then refilled and pressurized to 5 bar, they are sealed off and conne...

RE: Another DRC failure

The RS6 users guide clearly states that you must replace the central valves when you replace the corresponding shocks. They are what pressurizes the system and without this, they have wasted their time as there is not enough residual pressure to charge them to operating system pressure (approx 12-16...

Just to add here.. My RS6 came new with P Zero rosso's.. also had an incredibly firm DRC setup. The first set lasted almost 20k miles and wore evenly. Replaced them with PS2's and shortly after, the DRC failed and was redone improperly.. this began a series of improper DRC repairs which resulted in ...

I've had 27 shocks and 18 central valves that failed 8 times replaced under warranty in 4 years..the last repair lasted 3 weeks.
And still Audi refuses to admit there is a problem here. Amazing.

You should not be able to bounce the car up and down. Sounds like the dreaded DRC failure has been wretched upon you.
