Washer bottle leak.

Post by audi_driver79 » Sat Aug 23, 2025 11:52 am

Hi All,
Ive had some paintwork done on my car and the screen wash bottle is leaking. I thought it might be the clip for the headlight washer but it appears to be coming from just under the pump? Does anyone know how it connects or is it factory sealed onto it?

The pumps usually just push into a sealing gasket. Could be that whoever did the bodywork didn't push it back in properly.

I tried pushing it down, I don't know how much force is required. Is it possible to just pull it out in situ or do I remove the whole bottle through the wheel arch liner and if so does anyone have any tips or is it straightforward? TIA.
