Finally brought the technical file archive back from the dead

Post by Mr Footlong » Thu Nov 22, 2018 4:09 pm

Hi guys.

After many years of being too damn busy to d!ck about with fixing the software behind mk1 of the archive I slapped together back in the day, I have finally built it up again around a much better bit of software that isn't going to go obsolete and break big time like its predecessor did (well, that's the plan at least....).

The backend is simpler, not tied into MySQL at all and contained within a virtual machine for good measure, making it a lot easier to "pick up and walk" with so to speak.

It isn't amazingly well-ordered, but there a good chunk of stuff in there still.

If anyone has any stuff to add to there that could be of use, please let me know.

Linked in my sig too

Cheers,

Nick.

I've clearly misunderstood what this is. Happy to remain uninformed.

A mobile device in portrait mode doesn't show the username and password. Try going landscape. Or a PC.

Cheers Matt.

It does on both the mobiles I have here and my tablet. I tested it specifically just in case of that. Must either be a fairly low-res screen, zooming of some soft or possibly Crapple iSheep-related? I will rearrange the login image and then hopefully all assorted mobile guff will be able to see it.

Ok, Wife bint pointed me at the dev tools in chrome and the screen emulator for various phones. Worked around now, not pretty, but functional. The only device out of all the emulated ones that was still messy is an iSheep 5/SE, but anybody still running one of those is most likely a Gypo and can't work the interwebs anyway.

Cheers for explaining to me what the problem was, always helps ;)

Holy thread resurrection Batman!
But is there anyway somebody could upload these elsewhere for newbies?
