Hi Guys
I Just been looking at the Zimmermann's having read the thread here. However doesn't look like the Front Right is available anywhere - tried Autodoc and they had is listed at £612 vs the Front left at £300.

They have the SHW brand at £440 Front Left and Right - does anyone have any experience of these discs?

Sorry Martin cannot help. I have only ever fitted Audi or Zimmerman discs.
Personally I would be keeping my eye on Autodoc

Update.
I just googled Zimmerman brake discs for 2003 Audi rs6 c5.
Loads of Zimmerman discs came up.

I'ts finding the right hand Zimmermann that is the problem. The one on eBay is from Lithuania so I'm a little apprehensive of going that route. especially given the price and duty that needs to be paid on the way in.
I'll keep my eye on Autodoc.

I get loads of stuff from Lithuania. They're a good source. I hear you about the import duties. That's a faff.

Ok. It’s been 6 weeks since doing the front brake discs. I recently had a vacuum fault which caused the brakes to become really heavy and am now dismantling the car to investigate. With the wheels off I’m very alarms to see that both front tyres are experiencing massive shoulder wear which makes me somewhat worried. I gave these wheels a jolly good wash whilst doing the brakes and there was no way I’ve have not spotted this…
I think the Zimmerman disc is not quite as tall as the OEM Audi disc.

Won’t have anything to do with the disks. Can’t see how it could.
Looks like it’s been gouged by knobbly on the hub carrier. Weird for Michelins. Are they the right size?

If the thickness of the bells are narrower than OEM it will reduce the front track slightly.
These are 255/35zr19 which are now 2 1/2 years old. 6 weeks ago they were fine.

That’s not a tracking problem. That looks like a contact point. What pressure do you run?
Maybe put some tippex on the knobblyto see if it gets rubbed off by the tyre.

There isn’t any markings or rubber deposits on the knobbly bit, nor is it polished. Just the same finish as the rest of the upright. Will check load rating shortly
Tyre pressures 3 bar. 96Y "extra load" load rating.
Fine for 23,000 miles
Thickness of Zimmermann disc at wheel bolts 7.5mm, will check original disc which are still around later.
Tyres were getting close to wear limits but obviously want next set to last 20k miles too.
