I went to do an oil change yesterday & saw all this grease under the car. I assume it's come from the inner CV joint as it's more or less directly under it. I cleaned it off & looked at the boot (as best as I could on my drive) but it didn't seem damaged.
I'm gonna get it looked at but just wondered if anyone had any ideas if it could be something else?
Inner CV Joint?
Re: Inner CV Joint?
does look like cv joint grease, small cv joint tears are not always obvious especially if in a location not clearly visible
Re: Inner CV Joint?
The front CV gaitors are prone to splitting after time, typically the inners. The repair kit is cheap enough, but it's a driveshaft out job to replace it.

Re: Inner CV Joint?
Thanks for the replies. I'm going to get it done in a week or two. I did think about doing it my self in my garage but it's one of those jobs that'll take me me three times as long & involve lots of swearing & probably every tool I own!
For the sake of a couple hours labour I'll get Camspec to sort it.
