Where Can I Take My RS6

Post by carlos50 » Thu Apr 06, 2023 11:49 am

Hi guys

So i want to return the DRC to factory ride height to hopefully improve the ride quality & reduce the bumpy ride, so H&R springs off and originals back on, and check pressures etc.

Audi’s a none starter, dealers up here in the North East are so poor its quite staggering actually, who’s the best to take it to, so i dint get a default “you need new shocks because you fitted H&R springs” please guys?

My HUD needs calibration for alignment too so theres a couple of jobs, may even include a service if Im travelling somewhere?

Who’s the go to guy for these jobs?

Thanks
Carl

Porsche Macan Turbo.
Gone but NEVER forgotten - C5 RS6 Misano red avant.

Now - Empty garage

Thanks guys, I sent messages to both, got a quick reply from Autohaus, just under £1,700 to swap the springs and re-pressurise the shocks, ouch.

I sold my Bentley Bentayga because everything was staggeringly expensive with limited options to have work done, thinking a C7 RS6 was a wise move, i didnt appreciate the cost involved with DRC.

Its a bit too bouncy for me and I just cant look past the lowering springs as a contributing factor (less damper travel) but I cant justify £1700 just for a spring swap.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

There is a place in manchester i have used and they can recharge DRC. I think i paid £250 ( cant remember exact amount) for the recharge. Im sure they could do the springs as well. Might be worth getting a recharge done and see if it feels better. If your ok travelling this way then just let me know and i'll dig the number out.

@JamesBaby, have you used CM Tuning before? Have been thinking of taking my 2014 RS4 to them but not sure.
Any advice? Cheers

Hi. Yes I go to CM Tuning a lot. Chris there did my underside refresh, including DRC overhaul and recharge earlier this year.
