Front Wheel Arch Fixing
Front Wheel Arch Fixing
Evening all. I was hopeful someone could tell me the part number for a missing fixing that I have on the front wheel arch.
I noticed this a long time ago and it is missing on both front arches. I would like to purchase them as don't like parts missing
The missing screw/fixing is top centre of the inner lip above the front wheel and locates on the metal of the wheel arch any I assume to hold the liner?.
Unfortunately my lack of PC skills means I am unable to upload the picture as when I click the inset image icon i just get some text[img][img]?
Hopeful without the picture someone will know what I am talking about.
Thanks Steven

Re: Front Wheel Arch Fixing
Mine are missing too, so I cant confirm what was there, and if the liner sits in front of or behind the metal 'tab' of the wheel arch. Its possibly N 0154374 in conjunction with one of the ubiquitous panel bolts N 90775001. Where N 0154374 is attached to the liner and the panel bolt pinches 'tab' t secure the whole thing.
That being said, once the liners has been wrestled into place and ll of the other fasteners in place, this area of the liner at the top does not move at all.

Re: Front Wheel Arch Fixing
Those are probably M5 or M6 Spire clips.. I've got plenty in my garage if anyone wants a couple, I use them for my race bike fairings.
Does it state what size they are on the catalogue ?
There are two styles, one that take bolts, the other screws, I can't make out which is which on that image..

I've got M4, M5 and M6 bolt type and definitely have a selection of screw type.

Re: Front Wheel Arch Fixing
That first kit with screws would be very handy for our cars, especially for all the ducting up front.
Re: Front Wheel Arch Fixing
Gents when I had another look it looks like an orange plastic insert can be seen through the hole on the lip of the wing. I don’t see any spire clip.

Re: Front Wheel Arch Fixing
Hi maybe it is a spire clip as I don’t have the fixing on either side. Only thing would be I would have thought the metal clip would have damaged the wing. I guess I will need to keep an eye out for a C5 RS6 and have a look if I see one. Unfortunately getting like hens teeth up here in Scotland

Re: Front Wheel Arch Fixing
I know I am now well off track with the fixings
. I am down in north Ayrshire. Outwith the Daytona grey one I… heard 1st then passed my house a couple of months ago It could well be over a year before I recall seeing another on the road.
Was planning a road trip next year to unit 20 for service work. Have you found anyone really good and trustworthy up here in Scotland?
Possibly see you on the road sometime..
Steven
