Car wax
I have used meguiars Canuba hard wax for years.
However getting rid of the white residue has been a pain.
So decided to give this a go.
Car all washed and clay bar.
Now to try the wax. I need to find a easier way to waxing after the operation I had back in June.

I use demon shine in the snow foamer after I wash the car. Semi-rinse it off, dry with a towel and the effect is the same as wax as far as I can tell.

Would a car polisher/buffer help ? Not to try and get swirls out and burn through paint, just to lightly remove the white crust ? I've had one for a couple of years now but am scared shitless about making a large burnt patch or something

Bonnet ,roof, and boot
Have a rest
Offside wing, doors, and rear panel
Have a rest
As above to the near side
Have a rest
Then Finnish with front and rear bumpers.
Alternatively washed weekly and use a mobile detailer once a month.

The biggest mistake most people make when buffing is not using the right towel and often it can take 3-4 towels as the fibres become clogged with the excess wax when removed.
You may also want to try a different wax as there is a lot of variation between the compounds and how easily they’re removed.

I'd pay a good detailer to clean it properly and coat it with one of those good ceramic coatings. Then the maintenance becomes far less effort.
I'm hopeless at buffing so I now use the light spray on waxes that shine up really easily. I used to use autoglym and would spend the next weeks seeing white bits all over the place and having to keep removing them.

I replaced the Stvarnagloss with it when it became obsolete.
You don't need a snow foamer. You can get spray on versions. And also get some good quality microfibre towels.
I cover the car in it, including the glass and wheels. The effect is indistinguishable from a wax, except you don't have all your black bits go white like you do with wax.

Update.
Goes on easy
No white residue
Very good beading in the rain. Hardly stopped raining since I put it on.
All in all pretty good wax. But it’s not cheap.
