ECU Tuning Options...

Post by bcapo » Mon Aug 08, 2022 5:58 pm

I recently purchased a low-mileage RS6, and am looking to due an ECU upgrade.

Any opinions on a good "off-the-shelf" option? I was looking at 034, Vivid and Unitronic specifically. Unsure of what else is out there now.

Thanks!

MRC for a custom map. Don't bother with an off the shelf map. The car deserves a custom map.

I should have clarified; I live in the states (Colorado).

MRC is obviously not a feasible option unfortunately.

Ah ok. Bit too far away.
Hope you get sorted.

Running 034 tune for the last few years. Happy with it.
Make sure you do the TCU as well.

I was looking at 034's product. I've heard pretty good things overall.

Are you satisfied with it, or would you have preferred a custom map?

Happy with it. No option for a custom tune here in Australia.
Not sure where Nubcake is located, but he might be an option for a custom tune

Is the crew who you went through for the upgrades still around? Local 034 resellers here have no clue..

I don’t believe MTM offers an ecu tune for the C5 anymore unfortunately.

I’d like to find out more about 034’s tune, and how they are able to get such high TQ numbers. They have most other tunes beat by 60-70 ft/lbs. Wonder if this would cause some tranny issues.
