Insurance cost increase for remapped cars ?

Still on the hunt for the right car ! More often than not I'm finding cars with the right spec that I want but they have a stage 2 remap on them which I was told make quite a jump in insurance cost.

I'm not bothered about it being remapped but don't want to pay inflated insurance costs for the sake of a remapped car as standard power is more than enough for me.

Albeit not on my current car. My last one was heavily modified. And the single most increase was the mapping. Which came with a standard 25% increase in premium. Other things like exhaust, suspension and BBK were negligible in comparison. The policy was through Sky (not the tv people) who specialise in modified cars.
