Call me old fashion but if I’m paying north of £160 an hour I’d expect someone to know what the f##k they’re doing .
I need to calm down before I go back so off to Spain for a couple of weeks
Sorry to hear that. Mine went in to the main dealer just before my warranty expired with a knock from suspension and after mot mentioned one front shock had light misting of oil. They were very cagey about the shock, saying it was "serviceable" and told me they'd identified the knock as being the passenger seatbelt missing some felt! Of course it wasn't the issue but hey....skirs6 wrote:Perhaps dealers should just sell carsI’ve just had similar issues. Went to main dealer with knocking from front off side. Initially they recommended re gas £240 made no difference. Went back then told it’s the shock that’s gone. New shock and second re gas £ 1345 total. £ 1585 and guess what it’s no friggin different as if they’ve done nothing

The thought did cross my mind mate. Dealer book price minus £11k. They would have got a steal!wideboy wrote:Bendelaurence wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 5:08 pmHad to post an update for a laugh.

Glad you managed to get a realistic result! Good news is they "want to buy your car"...
Maybe that's part of their scheme?!

They’re not master technicians or master mechanics. They are master part fitters, that’s the problem. Their only answer to any problem is “replace it, and everything around it, till it works”
This is ‘spot on’. 100% agree.Bendelaurence wrote: ↑Wed Sep 23, 2020 6:49 pmThey’re not master technicians or master mechanics. They are master part fitters, that’s the problem. Their only answer to any problem is “replace it, and everything around it, till it works”

Does it sound like a loose spanner in the back when you go over any little bump in the morning?skirs6 wrote:I’m sort of committed with Audi at the moment as they have £1600 of my moneyThat may change if I get a refund. It’s a very frustrating knock which then once the car has been driven for at least 30 to 45 minutes becomes a bit of a metallic rattle
To me it would seem to be something that as it gets warm it expands and touches something else but no idea what. Starting to really annoy me now as I do like the car.
