Engine management light

Post by nshort10 » Thu Sep 03, 2020 8:00 pm

Hi guys

I have just received you purchased a 2016 rs6 performance after selling my last rs6 last year.

When I got the car from Audi dealer a few days later engine management light came on. Flashed about 15 times then went out.

Next day the light stayed on for about 3 days before I could get it into dealer.

They had the car and advised it was software update, which removed the light and sent on my way.

Been 5 days and the light is back on.

When ignition is on the engine management light on with the EPC light. But once started the EPC light goes out but engine light stays on.

Been advised that the car has never been mapped and was wondering if any one else came across this.

Car came with 2 year Audi warranty too.

Either way, if the EPC light came on again, it will show up as a fault code on the diagnostic and can be identified. Should be sorted. the PE is great fun.

A friend of mine checked the code and found these faults.

Also the pipes are ripped from air box which could maybe causing issues.

Hopefully it's just the rubber hoses!
