Re: £1000 discs!?
Appreciate VAT and import duty are an issue but Zimmerman rotors seem to be widely available from the US at OK prices.

Re: £1000 discs!?
I am using the Hawk HP Pads, so far very impressed, great stopping power with little dust

An American option - perhaps not so attractive once you add duty & VAT.

They do have dealers in the UK and Europe. Someone like Autodoc might be able to get a good deal as I'm sure they'd want a suitable replacement if Zimmermans have gone AWOL now.

Re: £1000 discs!?
I've left my front disks alone since I bought it until the pads needed doing. So anyway - time for pads, hence I measured the old disks last night now they're off. 29mm. IIRC "spec" minimum is 32.4? @29 there's still plenty of meat left - but certainly time to bin them. Thankfully, I have a pair of zimmermans on the shelf ready to go.

Re: £1000 discs!?
I didn't know at the time, but my old pads were yellow stuff.
They worked fine, but were quite dusty.
I now have red stuff fitted - mostly because I've persuaded myself that if they're a softer compound, they might last a little less well, but that they're perhaps also less abrasive on the disks, so they might last a little longer.

Haha ! Look at that pic ! I'm still amazed at how small the hub is given the weight of the car. It looks so small !

Re: £1000 discs!?
Might be worth grabbing a set at that price, even if not needed right now. In my ownership, that's the cheapest I have seen them !
