I too am having that upgrade (but havent had the carplay hack). I think its to improve the sound on calls as they tend to distort quite a bit

My voice calls are always top notch - so if thats the update I wont be rushing to have it done and have the hassle of potentially having to redo the carplay hack.Thanks.

Just wondering if anyone who has had Android Auto/Carplay suffers from disconnections after 10 minutes or so. It may be my cable or phone, however thought id ask before starting elimination process. BTW im running Android.

I had this issue and found the fix to be changing to a genuine iPhone cable.

We've had similar problems with both Audi and other brand cables; Carplay really doesn't like them for some reason. The original Apple cable that comes with the phone works perfectly.

What do people think about this - is it worth the money? Traffic on standard (without connect) is pretty poor but how well integrated is the CarPlay?

Worth every penny. I use waze for the hazard warning and speed camera alerts - which comes in very hand with these beasts.
I did have to swap to a better shorter cable and has worked flawlessly since.

I see there is now a wireless adapter for carplay, has anyone installed this? Think it is priced at £200 for the unit.
