On mine it looked like it was the seal at each end of the shaft cover but the one at the chain drive end was much the worse of the pair.
The one that usually leaks is N 904 608 01 which is now a wallet busting 77p, the other is WHT 003 731 and is £10.66.
But when you take into account all the other seals and bits & pieces that it's sensible to replace as part of the job you're looking at well over a hundred quid in parts. You CAN get the pump off without removing the engine but putting it back is a bark of a job - it's a little easier if you have the LH exhaust manifold off and can release the air con compressor bolts enough to allow it to be moved around a bit - but not much easier.
