Both my front shocks had blown the seals, the master tech said there was no fluid left in the system which in course damaged all the other components, it got that bad as it took so long to book the car in and get all the parts, tbh probably for the better it did.

I took it on the motorway today and it is so much smoother as would be expected, I have my standard wheels on that were slightly buckled and made me change my wheels to Vossens as I could feel a vibration, with the new shocks I cannot feel a thing at all so all along it looks like it had sod all to do with the wheels, I did think I could still feel it with the new wheels but told myself it was just my imagination, I suppose the new shocks could mask the vibration better but it was quite severe.

Not many C6 or C7 fail to be fair!
I wish that were so - regarding the C7 at least. There's three of us on this thread alone.

Yeah, the poor shocks are complaining at you driving around in your cars that look like RSQ6s.

Got all 4 done on mine too - unbelievable difference. It’s like a new car.

Going to now, glad I didn't before as it would have been an excuse for them to void the warranty.

Make that 4. Mines a 2016 PE with 13k on the clock. Only had it a week from a franchised dealer and noticed a clonk from the front shocks. In with my local dealer and they've confirmed needs 2 front shocks and a new Drc control unit.
A touch annoying it passed the so called 149 point approved used check like that but hey ho.
At least it's all under warranty and according to the dealer now looking after it the new stuff is supposedly updated.

The dampers are revised design (and good), the control units are not (but easily damaged by low pressure).

Mine went on a2015 RS4, full shocks replaced inc controller. So glad I didn’t modify it by lowering it as I believe it cost quite a lot to replace.

This is the reason why I won’t lower the RS6 I’m picking up next week.

I ran my RS6 lowered for 3 years with no problems.

I would have been in trouble if I had lowered mine as Audi would not have replaced everything on warranty. Hence why I don’t want to risk it.

Not heard of any lowered ones with problems yet. Only standard height cars. I know of a lot of owners and ex owners all with lowered cars and not a single DRC issue between them. Maybe coincidence.
