At least it was to say something useful! From that we deduce that exactly 30% of US RS6 owners have excellent taste.
The dreaded PO of mine didn't...he had a perfectly good Daytona Avant bare metal re-sprayed in Ibis  I do love the beast though.

Nice car! There were 1,435 RS6s sold in the US and 431 had Daytona Gray. Those are the official numbers from Audi when I asked them a few months ago.
Bit random...

Well, yesterday my tuner and I tried to turn up the boost with a base map of 16psi and the car didnt take to it too well. Over boosted to 21psi across the board and that was after the throttle went back to 50%!.

Going to have a look at the N75 and if not that then its suspected to be the wastegate lines. Will do a few more logs in the meantime.

The valve covers are leaking excessively, and the little coolant line inside the oil cooler is leaking aswell. That will be a job in the next few weeks I suspect.

Transmission clunks when hot so maybe it's a sign of it started to go. Fluid and filter changed 4000 miles ago... maybe I'll save everything and yank the engine and tranny out together for a general overhaul of both. Time will tell.

Other than that she's just going to stay inside as the Northeastern Winter passes. No reason to have it succumb to salt and rust when it hasn't seen any jets entire life.

Guess I'll start making updates about the car. Love everything about it minus the maintenance lol

I'm taking a look at an A6 2.7t 6sp on Saturday. If it's in good shape I'll buy it for possible manual swap. Never seen on of these documented so "first" maybe,

Maybe.....

Well, I just figured that since nobody else tends to share their experience with these cars, I might try and fill the void! Not the best working with a camera, but we'll get there. New video is up. Over the next few months, I will be performing the following:

-Timing Belt DIY
-Cam Chain Tensioner Removal / Gasket
-Bufkin Pipe Replacement

-And oh yeah, 6SP swap DIY (Well, I'll try and document as much as I can).

Also, I changed the title respectfully, because now... this IS turning into a bit of a build :beerchug: :beerchug:

I will be watching the gearbox manual swap closely... if you document that it would be fantastic, who doesn’t want a manual Rs6

Haha, I don't want to really do it either, but I would rather spend $3000 and get rid of the issue once and for all rather than rebuild it for $5000+ when the time comes and hope it doesn't happen again. :)

The donner with 131,xxx on the odometer. Seen better days lol
