Slow Mirror

Post by Jamie_P » Thu Dec 20, 2018 10:55 am

Hi everyone,

So my dad has just bought a stunning 2015 C7 RS6 in Sepang Blue and one of the things both him and I have noticed is that when locking the car, the mirrors obviously fold in, but the drivers mirror is noticeably slower (maybe 2 or 3 seconds) than the passengers. Is this something to be worried about?

Definitely something not right there. Mine fold simultaneously

Obvious question - there is nothing blocking the mechanism, twig, leaf etc?

Assume it has Audi Warranty, so get it into the dealers.....

Hi - I’ve had exactly the same problem with mine. It’s worse in cold weather and sometimes doesn’t fold at all or only comes out partially. I’ve had audi look at it a couple of times but they could never replicate it - I finally got them to replace on warranty a couple of weeks ago by showing them photos and videos when it was playing up. That was Audi Nottingham- Beth there was really helpful and got it sorted for me. Good luck!

Had the same issue until it eventually made its own mind up whether it would work or not. Whole unit just replaced by Audi under warranty last week.

Had both mirrors play up and looked at.They replaced with an upgraded wiring loom which did help( under warranty) but the next winter did the same ie drivers only went halfway ( Mainly on frosty mornings). Now slower than the passenger side and the motor seems to complain and moan when used.Out of warranty now so audi will wash their hands of it even though it's been in twice.Did ask if it happened again was there a two year warranty on parts fail to be told as replaced under their warranty and I paid nlthing for parts it was not covered.
Maybe time for the wd40 ......
