The problem you have here is that although its back up for sale, despite the <beep> circumstances, is not too much different from getting a part ex figure from a dealer and them selling it on for profit. Thats how I see it anyway, other people may view it differently.

If the threads earlier weren't posted in the first place dave would be none the wiser, it would look like someone was after a quick buck and he would be happily driving his new C7.

Even if the police were interested you would still have to prove that they scammed dave out of money. That would mean having video of them in the act, having him say it was working fine before the test would just be a he said they said situation, even though people are well aware that he has looked after it.

I hope this doesn't sound dickish but it's just not worth the police's time chasing this if there is no proof.

All you can really do is spam the ad saying what they had done and hope they don't sell it on for too much more then dave sold it unfortunately.

One thing you could all do is to click on the top right and report that the owner tried to scam me - it just might get FB notice if enough do it.

Sadly I agree with vagmachine that there is little (legal) one could do - I don't have video evidence, or any other way of "proving" what happened other than the fact that I banked the cash the following day.

Of course, if a number of you decide to go and look at the beast........

I reported it on FB as a scam, and also sherd via my timeline - interestingly both have gone, so probably was FB that took it down.

It was up for £6500 - and I do have screenshots of the FB ad if anyone wants them - found I'd left the ad open on my browser so was able to capture even though FB have taken it down

And yes I noticed the "stocks of pepper" too - best Audi and MRC pepper!
