Bluetooth set up

Can anyone help me connect my iPhone to standard factory fitted MMS? The car has been parked up for about a year (on an intelligent battery charger do never has been flat) and it doesn’t recognise my phone. It says in the manual to type in 1234 but when I do nothing happens and my iPhone doesn’t see the cars Bluetooth?

Reset the code on the rnse.
It's in the settings menu after pressing the Tel button.
