Agreed. But all options are a fairly well trodden path now:

I asked a BC racing supplier about them. I think they're pretty adjustable.

Thanks, please see below lowering information from the factory:

Please refer to default lowering range below, measured from hub centre to fender:

Front: out of box height is 395mm, adjustment range is 373~435mm.

Rear: out of box height is 395mm, adjustment range is 370~430mm.

Do these sound like they're be a sensible choice? Full set is about a usual currency unit ie just under £800.

Are they adjustable for bounce and rebound? Are they adjustable without removing them from the car (unlike the KWv3)?

They look good, but I've never heard of them. Not a bad price if that's for shocks and springs.

At the price they are they're worth a punt. I'll keep the Bilsteins so if they're appalling then I can always put them back on anyway.

Cool. Let us know. My only concern is that they look infinitely adjustable!

I installed a set of BC Racing coilovers in a mates Polo 9N3 Sportline TDI. Really impressed for the money - more adjustable thank my Koni Coilovers (I also own a Polo 9N3 Sportline TDI) and the ride is very very very difficult to tell apart at the same level of lowering.

I have seriously considered getting a set for my RS, but there's a number of other areas I want to focus on first before getting to coilovers.

Oh, to add, something I really liked about them was this:

"Height adjustment via bottom mount to retain full damper travel."

So no matter how high or low you make the car (by rotating the bottom mount), the dampening wasn't affected.

Yeah, that's good. My PSS9 bottom out way too easily at the height I've got it set at.

I've got mine set high. Stock height. Should have mentioned. If you set the car low there's plenty of travel.

The coil overs that adjust at the bottom had a lot of strength issues a few years back as the rotating collar is so thin and takes all the punishment.
I would imagine things have been improved on now but worth keeping an eye on.

I’d also look here for reviews on BC coilovers:

To be fair, that's a photo from a post showing failures of Konis, KW, etc.
