Honestly the DRC is a waste of money, I drove two RS5 one with one without and opted for one without.

The comfort setting is perfect, I can’t see the 4 being any different?

Horses for courses... I found the B8 in comfort far too loose, but dynamic was spot on for me (apart from going over cobbles in Edinburgh). So for me DRC was not a waste of money.

Haven't been out in the new models yet, but suspect much of the same - for some standard will be perfect, for others DRC on Dynamic others DRC on Comfort.

Just read both reviews, and looks like I need to spend another £2k :(
Wait for the 'Audi Sport' pack IIWY. If the pack, as is being rumoured, is going to be £2250 for DRC (£2000), Sports Zorst (£1200) and TPMS (£250), then it's worth a few more months hanging on IMO.

But the pack will include the dynamic steering from what I've been told, which I don't particularly want.
My info from Audi UK was Sports pack would be DRC, Dynamic Steering and Sports Exhaust, and would offer ' a few hundred pounds off the combined value' - Much like the B8 sports pack

Yeah, I have been caught this way before too, and now I think it's something I will always confirm before placing an order.

he's likely paid a deposit, and also a PX complicates matters

Although they're reluctant to do it, dealers can trade build slots with other dealers, so give them a nudge and see what they can do
You'd be surprised how much they do that they generally say they can't if they think they're going to lose a customer

Am I being stupid, but isn't standard set up a one size fit all damper wise? Switching to comfort in cars without DRC just adjusts the throttle and gearbox? Are you saying you can adjust damper setting too in the 5?
