Door Switch

Post by Gee » Thu Nov 10, 2005 1:38 pm

Hi all I've had my 2002 Nogaro Blue S3 for a month now and am loving it :D

The only thing is I have a slight problem with the door intermitently not showing closed on the dash. Where is the door swith located so I can have a look at it as I suspect that its as simple as a loose wire causing it.

Cheers
Graham

the door switch is located in the door catch, its a one piece unit containing the catch, lock, deadlock and switches, all a3,tt and s3 ( as well as vw,seat and skoda) use the same type - its common for one of the components to fail - usually water ingress is the main cause and in colder climates this can freeze and cause the door to stick, its quite easy to replace - takes about half an hour
