If I was looking I would choose the pandora on paper.
Can imagine nothing worse than a alarm giving you problems

My car has the viper smart start
proximity sensors with warn away are perfect chirps like a good un if anyone near car & lets you know .I don’t really use the remote start so probably something i would not do again !added the led ghost light ,glass break sensor, tilt sensor ,also pke comfort access... Alarm was installed around 2years ago know
No false alarms no problems at all does exactly what it needs to do ..I can recommend no problem

Most of the issues with Pandora appear to be software related and the system can be remotely checked so hopefully it will come good. I was also unlucky to get an installer that didnt appreciate my car as i do and lacked due care. He was more concerned about getting to his next job. As he left me with a none functioning system it was never demonstrated to me and do have questions that should have been answered. The reason for it not working was an incorrectly inserted SIM which I identified and corrected. At £1300+ Its not good enough, service and the product need to be top end like the price

Positives for me ( having had 2 cars stolen )are you can check the cars status from your phone which puts your mind at rest. The warn away was my no1 feature so its disappointing that its been erratic and have to turn it off. Once the system works how its supposed too i’ll be very happy and purchase systems for other cars. I do rate it, just needs these teething troubles sorting

I admit my warn away on the silver package isn’t that great, I’m not sure if when Anthony turned off my internal sensor it affected this but I’ve noticed it working when a buss drove past closely but then I can look through the windows without warn away happening. I’ll check with Sarah in the new year.

I was/am intrested in this but there just seems to be quite a few people with problems,
Looked a the ghost system but that dosnt have a alarm with it.

It’s a good system but it’s not yet reliable. Mine was fitted a month ago and I sorted one issue myself but they promised to come sort it out in two weeks. It’s now a month+ The ghost is a waste of money. Most companies are dropping it as it’s. Ridiculous easy to defeat.
lee any info on the ghost issue you talk about how is it defeated do you know ?
cheers

I can’t believe you are all still having problems. This should have all been sorted ages ago.

Have you lost confidence in the alarm system? I certainly wouldn’t be leaving my car anywhere

My issue is that warn away doesn’t work well on passenger side if at all. They need to come back and fit the auto start so I’ll get them to check this but I had to have an internal sensor switched off for the dogs which maybe causing the problem. The warn away favoured drivers side even at install. Also it works ok inside my garage but not great on the street, not the way round you want it.

I was having second thoughts on having a retro Alarm fitted in the week upto my install, a bit to do with someone’s fitter issue and second the cars either in my alarmed garage or on street outside my bedroom window. I’m sure I’d of heard any alarm from there and I don’t expect anyone else to be a hero if my car is being broken into so in hindsight I could of done without any retro Alarm, I think I got caught up in these cars are going to be stolen or broken into instead of they may.

I know what you mean - but having had my OEM alarm go off outside my window and not notice it as an alarm (thought it was a lorry reversing) you are wise to have fitted something better - although I sometimes wonder if just the Clifford LED would be as effective.

I can also see how when choosing an alarm it becomes an "arms race" but in reality whilst most thieves wanting the seats will know how to defeat the Audi system their knowledge probably stops there.

Whilst I often think be nice to have some of the "smart" features these newer alarms offer overall I am very happy with the Clifford upgrade I chose - again for my circumstances of course.

I am having problems with it all and noticed as well the proxy sensors only seems to work on the passenger side. Could be it need setting to be more aggressive. Got it to do a warn away last night and the full system went off. Thought it only does a warn away first. Dam thing.

My app will not connect to the car so cant alter any setting at all only via the remote

Also the chip i have in my wallet does not work. Started and drove the car away the other day as i left that in the house. Ant said i can activate that via the app.. which i dont have working
Another problem
Also false alarms on the shock sensors

I have been intouch with ant now direct and he is coming out next week to change the system for me. This time i will go throw the full system fully before he leaves.

Begining to think the clifford 650 would of been better. But i will see what happens and if it gets sorted if not. I will want a replacment alarm. As £750 for this alarm is not cheap seens as it dont work

Ahhh it’s turning into my “Dad Alarm” is harder than yours!! :)

Anthony came across good to me, I think the sensor depending on how it’s placed is causing the issue as it’s funny that we both have different sides being more prominent? As I said, outside I can look through either window but in the garage it goes off if you get close to drivers side. Problem there is 2 dogs and an Adt Alarm system would have been triggered first and undoubtedly me if I’m in! 😂

No Dad Alarm. Just disappointed for you all given that you have paid a lot of money for a service.
