Heavy Duty Control Arm kit??

Post by vangelis » Fri May 16, 2014 8:58 am

Hello, I've been looking around for a Reinforced Heavy Duty Control Arm kit for RS6 C6 but with no luck. I know some brands does this for most of the cars (ie MEYLE).

Anyone knows where to get one of this kits? or even in separate parts?

I did a search here and found most of the suspension parts.

Is it the parts with the 'HD' extension you are looking for?

I suspect our RS6's share control arms and bushings from the A6 range.

Here where? :) .. I'm looking for all the front suspension kit in heavy duty (reinforced). I found some kits on eBay and they showing compatibility for both A6 and RS6, but wondering if that's right as I can't imagine same RS6 control arms to be same in A6 2.0!!

Anyone can confirm that?

If they are available here in the UK, and you are happy to cover costs, I would not object to placing an order on your behalf and sending them on.

For the 4.2l engine, you would need to check that they fit the 5.0l monster.

Sorry to re-hash an old subject but I'm wondering if anyone can confirm if the Meyle HD kit for the C6 S6 will fit our RS6?

This is the the Meyle part number and link for the whole C6 S6 HD kit
Part no. 116 050 0095/HD

https://web2.carparts-cat.com/default.a ... 004&12=140

I've read conflicting info about our control arms sharing exactly the same part numbers all but for the one of the lower control arms.
Can you get away with running the Meyle HD part instead. Can anyone confirm?
The control arm in question..

i cheated and went polybush and IMHO the difference is rubber bush (not the ball joint or arm itself)
..StrongFlex and am very pleased with the car just feeling 'tighter'. but be warned changing everything is not a weekend job

Tough job and well done for doing yourself RossH14!
If you don't mind sharing.. what were the part numbers for the Strongflex bushes for the lower arms?
I think the previous owner just changed the bushes and the arms are from factory. If you don't mind sharing.. what were the part numbers for the Strongflex bushes for the lower arms? ... then I can press in some polybush bushes for the new lower arms and also have brand new ball joints too.
