The handbrake caliper seems to be the same as they fit on Lambo’s, is that correct? I think you might just start a trend here...

The ferrari handbrake caliper had a better fit to the oem handbrake cable then audi R8/Lambo, small mods need though..

Am I starting a trend you say?!

IF people want to buy, i can make and sell ”my” brackets, these will only fit these brakes and calipers though...

After Matt 20vt found me on here and after a big of digging my end I can confim that I purchased this car in the end... With Matt's steel brake setup.

I am very happy with it.

Was a good car, looked great value with the ceramics. Did you fix the seat plastics or did the seller get those done for you? Audi shocked me with their repair price for those!

They’re brilliant Cars, I ended up buying a good forum members blue avant with ceramics.

The seat plastics are next on my list to do now I have sorted all the mechanical vulnerabilities etc.

In essence it looks like it's a case of replacing the bottom half of seat with genuine Audi replacement and then reattaching it all back and hooking it back around the edges.
Still struggling to find a proper DIY but it will be a spring task once the car comes out for the garage for longer periods of time.

The ceramics are nice to have but the cars stop incredibly well on the standard set up anyway.

I forgot the bolster you climb over was in quite bad shape, I didn’t realise what you meant at first but yes I remember now that the bolster and the black plastic eyes were the bits I would have addressed first off.

Yeah it just needs to be replaced. I was considering doing it first as it really bugged me at first however since it's a weekend car and lives in the garage during the week I will do that job now I have done everything else.

What mechanical bits did you need to take care of?

We’re in different boats as I needed mine as a daily and as my previous car was a good few years newer I’d of fixed those up first or would have regretted the swap . Down side is now I’m super precious about the condition of my seats, i don’t want it going to a car wash as can I imagine them clambering all over them, I glare at my Mrs every time she gets in/out and she’s said she misses the previous car as you could jump in and out. I’ve always loved the bucket seat but can see why the standard seat is popular in the B8 and the B9 doesn’t even seem to have a bucket seat option?
